I suppose i should have

I suppose i should have told you guys to buy stock in the cold medicine stocks....I am pretty sure that someone is driving around in a new BEAMER with the amount of money i have spent on getting rid of this cold. It threw me for a loop for most of the week, and yes, being the good employee i worked through it, although i slept during most of the time i was at home.

Halloween season is in full swing here, with the front of the house done up in the spider webs and spiders that Keith is known for. The neighbours all watched his progress and have declared it better than last year, although the LARGE spiders have not made an appearance yet....they are still in pieces as we decide where they should go.

Costumes are being assembled, and Bug is continually changing her mind as to what colour her petals should be ( she is dressing up as a flower). Munch's costume is not finished, but will be this weekend. ( he is going out as FRANKENSTEIN).

I am not sure what i am dressing up as this year. I like to dress up to hand out candy to the kids who come to the door. I am pretty sure that Keith will be his standard alien ( his costume of choice for the last 10 years).

Tell me how you celebrate Halloween!
Do you decorate? Do you dress up for the kids, or are you a lights off at 7pm and lock the door kind of house?

And since i know you are all dying to know...there are only 65 days until CHRISTMAS!!!!

Stitches are out! The finger

Stitches are out! The finger has not healed as well as i would have liked, and i have been put on Antibiotics because of a small infection, but its nice to not feel like some sort of sewing project!

A lazy day today.....its grey and raining out again today so i have no energy to do anything...

Think i'll go and curl up and read....or maybe start my Christmas wish list......

it is only 74 days away!

Also, just a note to family who may read this....don't forget it is Great Grandma's birthday today...call her and sing her a happy birthday!
She is 88 today!

IT'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!! Ok i got

IT'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!! Ok i got that out of my system!!!!!!!!!

No, i did not fall off the face of the earth, but it has been an incredibly busy time here in Wilsonworld!
I am officially employed...classified as a casual employee..but its a foot in the door.
It is for a local hospital..and its pretty much doing what i love to do..fundraising and special events ( including bingo and black tie stuff)
I still get to work the bingos ( which i had been doing as a volunteer) as well as in the next few weeks will be going in to the offices and learning that end of the job.
Last week was full of meetings and physicals, as well as the volunteer work that i have been doing, so there was very little time for being on the computer....

Keith had his birthday last week, but also picked the same time to come down with some sort of flu, which knocked him out for a few days.... i think it was psychsomatic ( he really did not want to have a birthday..i think he is entering some sort of mid life crisis)....but the day came anyways......along with good friends who showed up at the door with a large birthday cake...
If you are going to have to celebrate..it should be with your best friends!

This week has not started out the greatest!
Monday afternnon i was clearing the table and had a drinking glass shatter in my hands. My right little finger went through the glass.....Hand wounds bleed....alot......Munch got a crash course in emergency first aid, and i decided that it was not bad enough for stitches. I wrapped it up, and then went to work ( first day on the job).
But the finger had other ideas. It kept bleeding. All night.
So when i finished work at 9am, i headed off to the clinic, where i waited for 3 hours.
When i finally got in to see the doctor, she told me i should have had someone see it yesterday.
It DID require stitches!
So i am sporting a rather large bandage on my finger, and have to go back in 10 days to have the stitches removed.

At least it gets me off of dish duty for the next week or so!
But it does make typing a pain!

Things you should look at...NOW!
