Weather Men
frantically pointing
shades of purple fill the screen
Storm of the Year
they say
can't they find anything else to comment on?
YES it's cold
We DO live in the GREAT WHITE NORTH
The Artic blast decends upon us
STAY-IN-YOUR-HOMES
but can the children can still go to school?
The result of all this hype
two
snowflakes fall slowly to the ground
Wondering
what all the fuss was about
Latecomers to the party
held in their honour
Better late than never.

Dude! We had a storm of the century, too. Last year, I think. Couple of inches, perhaps.

This poem was from last year, when the news people were calling the latest storm front the "Storm of the Century".
It was a dud.
At least here it was.
This year, both winter storms that have hit our area have skirted past us again.
My snowflake dance doesn't seem to be working.
