White Christmas?
Winter arrived here in Wilsonworld over the weekend. The huge winter storm that the weathermen had been talking about actually made it this far, and for the first time in a long time our town has snow before January.
A foot of snow fell on Sunday. It was really pretty sitting and watching it fall. it was even nice as we went out and helped neighbours shovel out.
Much to the dismay of the children, school was open today, although there wasn't a bus to be found in the city or county. Schools were open, but no transportation. Too bad really. Too bad for my children who live a 10 minute walk from said school.
Was it wrong that i danced as they left for school this morning..grumbling something about all of the other mom's let their children stay home?
Yes, i think we all pulled that one on our parents!
I cannot believe how fast December is flying by. I have some cards posted, no baking done, and gifts? What are they?
We did get the tree up, and managed to put up some of the decorations, so at least it is beginning to LOOK at lot like Christmas, even if in my heart it doesn't feel that way. In talking to people I have found that this year there seems to be more and more of us who for whatever reason cannot get into the spirit of the season.
What about you?
Are you in the Christmas Mood yet?
(i must admit, the snow really helps..but i am not there yet.)

I'm getting there!!!
I'm actually decorating the house because I want to and not just because my daughter is grumbling about the fact that I'm not. (of course, i'm an empty-nester this year and don't have her around messing the house up whenever I clean it - instead I'm hearing her COMPLAIN about her roommates doing the same thing to her... hmm!)

It's all happening too fast, again.

Thanks for your comments on the blog, Kim.
I cannot imagine the lack of sun. Honestly. Cannot. Imagine. I would be completely dying. I really think I need to move further south. Because this year? The bigger/earlier/truer winter seems to be hitting both Keli and me much harder with the depression symptoms.

Kimby, do you have all the Star Trek DVDs? You should blog about your love affair with Mr. Spock.
Or explain to us whatever happened to Yeoman Rand? ha ha.
