How about a Book meme, since we seemed to have done music and pictures and personal stuff already.
This is one I have done before...but it was fun, so I am doing it again.
Thanks for all the patience this week as I left you hanging with just the memes to keep you company.
Next week there will be soap box ranting....I am working on them now.
But for today....here is the FIVE BOOK MEME. Play along if you want to.
DIRECTIONS
1. Take five books off your bookshelf.
2. Book #1 -- first sentence
3. Book #2 -- last sentence on page fifty
4. Book #3 -- second sentence on page one hundred
5. Book #4 -- next to the last sentence on page one hundred fifty
6. Book #5 -- final sentence of the book
7. Make the five sentences into a paragraph:
And here it is:
See a Tall Man pacing alone on the twilight beach, caught between the dying day and the incoming tide. Is he there? And you, Aminata, beware of your own beauty flowering among strangers ."Lets have coffee", she says. Because reason should win.
My books were
1.Bard:The Odyssey Of The Irish by Morgan Llywelyn
2.Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett
3.The Book of Negroes by Laurence Hill
4.The Robber Bride by Margaret Atwood
5. We by Yevgeny Zamyatin
Fall had come to Bodgaru-by the Sea, and winter was not now far away."Alcohol?" Vimes suggested. I was busy mashing the ground with the toe of my boot, as if grinding the cigar into the mud. "I have to see everybody, but not necessarily tonight". A trail of suppressed giggles followed them down the passsage to their tiny -- but adequate for the immediate purpose -- cabin.
The Witling by Vernor Vinge.
Thud by Terry Pratchett.
The Widow of the South by Robert Hicks.
Death & Honor by W.E.B. Griffin.
Change of Command by Elizabeth Moon.

It's strange how your paragraphs work from such a diverse group of authors/genres.
